We are very serious when it comes to protecting your personal information. Staph-Infection-Resources.com uses 128-bit SSL, (“Secure Sockets Layer”), encrypted technology to ensure that you have a safe and secure experience whether you fill in a webform or use the shopping cart to purchase a product. SSL technology essentially scrambles and protects all of your information, including your credit card number during online transactions.

Security and Privacy: Frequently Asked Questions

Will you give my information to other people or insurance companies?

We don’t like it when someone gives away our personal information and neither do you. That’s why when you submit your private information to us, we won’t rent, share or sell it to anyone else, including medical institutions or insurance companies.

Our Privacy Policy outlines how your personal information is collected and how it may be used. Read more about our Privacy Policy here.

How do you handle and store my credit card details?

Our online shopping cart pages are secured with 128-bit SSL encryption so your private data is kept concealed as it’s transferred from our shopping cart, to your bank, and back to our shopping cart. As mentioned above, the shopping cart we use meets rigorous PCI compliance standards to keep your information safe.

Your personal information and credit card details are stored in an encrypted format inside of our secure and network fire-walled shopping cart. Our staff can only see the last few digits of your credit card number on file. We do not store your credit card CV2/CVC/CVV code (the security code on the back side of your card).

Orders taken over the phone are entered directly into our secure shopping cart and are never stored on personal computers.

Does your site have a secure connection? How can I tell if it’s secure?

"https" secure browser

Example of “https://” address in your browser indicating a secure webpage.

When you are on a secured webpage, the web address will always include “https://” to indicate that this page is secured using encryption technology (see example picture to the right).

You’ll also see a padlock icon somewhere on secured pages (either near the address bar or at the bottom of the browser). For instance in Internet Explorer, the padlock icon is sometimes located next to the web address bar at the top of the browser. When you click on the padlock, it will tell you if the connection is secure and encrypted.

Not all pages on your site are “https://”.  Shouldn’t they all be secure pages?

We use “https://” for our shopping cart pages that transmit confidential information like your personal credit card data. Our other web pages that are used for products, blogs and information will use the regular “https://” since they do not transmit any of your personal data.

Your shopping cart uses a different web address. Is it safe and secure?

When purchasing products, you will leave our website www.Staph-Infection-Resources.com and go to our Infusionsoft shopping cart. We use Infusionsoft to run our shopping cart because it meets a high level of PCI security standards. Our shopping cart address starts with: www.ehealthinc.infusionsoft.com/.

Infusionsoft is a Level 1 e-commerce application service provider. As a Level 1 Service Provider, they must comply with a rigorous set of standards set forth by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI standards require that their shopping cart use data encryption, network firewalls and secure transmission, storage and disposal of credit card information.

Why do I receive a popup stating your site is not secure?

We can confirm that all of our shopping cart pages are secure and that data is encrypted using SSL. However there are some issues with specific versions of the Internet Explorer browser and how it handles images on secured pages. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a solution.

If you prefer, we can always take your order over the phone. Click here for our contact details.
